Again, the Clippers were a horrible team after a disappointing conclusion to their young future core being broken up until they depended on draught selections. Furthermore, a few years later, and grabbed Blake Griffin and Deandre Jordan.
With Griffin and Jordan as their new future building pieces, the Clippers received a helping hand from the league in the form of Chris Paul, and the franchise’s fortunes finally shifted in their favor. Thanks to the trio’s strong play, the Clippers had finally tasted success with several playoff appearances this year and were one win away from reaching the western finals.
In the end, the three of Griffin, Jordan, and Paul would run their course, as the squad was never able to realize its championship ambitions ultimately.
All three players are now with other clubs, and the Clippers are searching for answers once more. Danny Manning, Elton Brand, Lamar Odom, Blake Griffin, Deandre Jordan, and Chris Paul are the most noteworthy Clippers players.

The Memphis Grizzlies are one of the league’s newest teams. They began in 1995 in Vancouver and remained there until 2001, when they moved to Memphis, Tennessee.
With this relocation, they began to have tremendous success, and one of the critical reasons for this was the 3rd-round selection of Pau Gasol in the 2001 NBA Draft.
They qualified for the playoffs from 2003 to 2006 but failed to win a single game.

16. Milwaukee Bucks
The Milwaukee Bucks’ story began in 1968. They battled terribly in their debut year, much like so many previous expansion clubs in the NBA. This poor season turned out to be ideal for the Bucks since they received the first overall selection the following year and signed Lew Alcindor with that pick (Kareem Abdul-Jabbar). He already played like a seasoned veteran during his debut season, helping his club reach the Eastern Conference Finals.
The Bucks’ next season was even better because they acquired Oscar “Big O” Robertson in a trade, and they trampled everything in their path throughout that season. During the regular season, they went 66-16, and in the playoffs, they went 12-2, claiming the franchise’s first NBA title. They returned to the NBA Finals during the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar era but could not overcome the Boston Celtics.
Kareem sought a transfer in 1976 and finally joined the Lakers, but the club remained competitive for another decade until the 1990s when they began to suffer. The Milwaukee Bucks are now a contender in the Eastern Conference and have been for several years.
The club has a bright future with a young superstar in Giannis Antetokounmpo and a superb supporting cast around him. Still, it will have to stay competitive in the coming years to retain the superstar in town. Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Oscar Robertson, Sidney Moncrief, Ray Allen, Glenn Robinson, Michael Redd, Khris Middleton, and Giannis Antetokounmpo are the most noteworthy players for the Milwaukee Bucks.

17. Minnesota TWolves
The Timberwolves were a late entry into the NBA, joining in 1989 to be exact. The Timberwolves were no exception to the rules newcomers to the league struggle. They were middling at best until 1995, and they were anxious for success. They picked Kevin Garnett with the 5th overall choice in that year’s Draft, and their franchise would never be the same again.
Although they were expel in the first round, they made their first playoff participation in 1996, which was a good move. Despite making the playoffs several times over the next few seasons, they never advanced past the first round. That changed during the 2003-04 season, when they advanced to the Western Conference Finals, only to forget four games to two to the Los Angeles Lakers.
They were dealt a significant setback when Kevin Garnett was moved to the Boston Celtics in 2007, and it took them a long time to recover. They traded for Kevin Love, a youngster who proved to be a valuable addition to the squad in 2010, but Love signed for the Cavaliers in 2014, and the Timberwolves are still suffering.

18. New Orleans Pelicans
The New Orleans Pelicans are a moderality new franchise, having entered the league in 2002 as the New Orleans Hornets after relocating to New Orleans. In 2013, the squad would be renamed the Pelicans. The Pelicans struggled in their early years, as do most expansion clubs, until they chose Chris Paul, their future superstar, in 2005. The squad became a postseason contender because of a young floor general named Chris Paul, who led the team to repeated playoff appearances and even a trip to the Western Conference Finals. Chris Paul requested to be traded from New Orleans before the 2011 season, and the franchise had to begin the rebuilding process all over again.
Things would improve in 2012, when the club struck gold with the first overall choice in the draught, selecting Anthony Davis as their new franchise savior. In 2015, the Pelicans made the playoffs with all their hopes and future depending on Davis, but the Golden State Warriors defeated them. Despite having a superstar in Davis and surrounding him with an all-star in Jrue Holiday and subsequently signing DeMarcus Cousins, the Pelicans could not advance beyond their more vigorous opponents in the playoffs, which contributed to the team’s core breaking down.
The Pelicans are now in rebuild mode, with Cousins departing as a free agent and Davis asking for a trade midway through the 2018 season. The franchise’s future does not appear bright, as another rebuilding phase seems to be on the horizon for the next few seasons. 19. New York Knicks
The New York Knicks one of the most well-known and talked-about NBA teams.
However, they are not well-known for their titles or excellent management; the contrary is true. They’re well-known since they’re located in New York City and have a reputation for overpaying athletes. The Knicks’ story began in 1946, and they made three straight visits to the NBA Finals in the 1950s. However, they fell short each time, and they would not win their first championship until 1970.
Willis Reed and Dick Barnett were in charge. They returned to the NBA Finals in 1972 but were beaten four games to one by the Los Angeles Lakers. The Knicks, on the other hand, got their vengeance on the Lakers the following season, defeating them by the identical score of four games to one. Most of us know of the Oklahoma City Thunder since they have had a slew of excellent players recently, and their fan base has exploded. The Seattle SuperSonics was a professional basketball club created in 1967 and based in Seattle. From 1967 through 2008, they lived there. They won an NBA championship in 1979 and three Western Conference crowns. It was sold to Professional Basketball Club LLC for $350 million when they relocated in 2008.
They create it to the NBA Finals in 2012 but couldn’t beat the Miami Heat’s powerhouse roster, winning only one game and losing the next four. After failing to reach the Finals again the following season, they moved James Harden to the Houston Rockets, and Kevin Durant departed the club to join the Golden State Warriors. With just one of the original trio of Westbrook, Durant, and Harden remaining, the management was left with only one option. Since then, the OKC front management has worked tirelessly to attract new players, including Paul George, but they have been eliminated from the playoffs in the first round for three consecutive seasons.

21. Orlando Magic
The Magic’s narrative begins a little later than most of the other teams’; they entered the league in 1985 and have a roster including some famous players. They didn’t have any notable successes in their early years in the league. However, they possessed the top selection in the 1992 draught and chose Shaquille O’Neal, who immediately impacted it.
They were fortunate to have the first selection in the next round, and they picked Chris Webber with that pick but opted to sell him for Anfernee Hardaway and three future first-round lottery picks. 22. Philadelphia 76ers
The 76ers were created in 1946 as the Syracuse Nationals and are home to several luminaries who have given us many memorable players throughout the NBA’s history. In 1963, they changed their name to the 76ers. In 1955, when they well known as the Nationals, they could win a championship. When they signed Wilt Chamberlain, one of the league’s most dominant players, things were about to change for the better.
Chamberlain’s influence was immediate, and they continued to improve year after year. The 76ers ended the Celtics’ dominance in the 1966-67 season, defeating the Warriors in the Finals four games to two to protest their second championship. When Moses Malone opted to pair up with Maurice Cheeks and Julius Erving in the 1980s, the 76ers would have another great squad.
The 76ers had another fantastic season in 1982-83, winning the championship and dropping only one game in the playoffs. We must not forget the Allen Iverson era when the team advanced to the NBA Finals in 2001 and faced the Los Angeles Lakers.
However, in the Finals, they only managed to win one game and ultimately fell four games to one.

23. Phoenix Suns
The Phoenix Suns enter the NBA in 1968 and were a middling club for the first few years. However, when they completed some fantastic transactions in the 1975-76 season, their fortunes were about to shift. They acquired Paul Westphal, who led the club to the NBA Finals, defeated by the Boston Celtics. The team’s second period of success began in the 1990s when they acquired Charles Barkley and appointed Paul Westphal as head coach.
This proved to be a wise conclusion because they reached the Finals in 1993 and were defeated by the famous Bulls in six games. They remained middling for the following ten years, but in 2004, they signed Steve Nash, a free agent, and he was a huge success. His combination with Amare Stoudemire and Shawn Marion made the Suns one of the league’s most appealing teams. Steve Nash would win two MVP awards in a row during this period. However, this Suns team never made it to the NBA Finals and eventually folded. The Suns have struggled in recent seasons and are now rebuilding.

24. Portland Trail Blazers
The Portland Trail Blazers are a full-time basketball team headquartered in Portland, Oregon, that entered the NBA in 1970. The Trail Blazers were not particularly successful in their early years, but things changed dramatically in 1977 when they won the NBA title. They defeated the Chicago Bulls, Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Lakers in the playoffs, and the Philadelphia 76ers in the Finals, four games to two.
The 1980s proved to be a decade where they would achieve more success while also making some disastrous blunders. They selected Clyde Drexler with the first overall pick in 1983. Still, they committed one of the most egregious errors in NBA history in 1985, when they chose Sam Bowie with the second broad choice, ahead of Michael Jordan.
Following Drexler’s departure, the Trail Blazers were home to notable players like Scottie Pippen, Rasheed Wallace, and Damian Lillard most recently. Lillard has been the franchise’s cornerstone since he was taken sixth overall in the 2012 draught, and he has helped them continue to evolve as a team. Their most recent victory came in the first round of the 2019 playoffs when they defeated OKC. This series appears to have a great future ahead of it.

25. Dallas Mavericks
One of the three NBA teams establish in Texas. In 1980, the Dallas Mavericks were founded and entered the NBA. They had mixed success in the 1980s, with early success and late success, but they couldn’t get past the Western Conference juggernaut Lakers. Things began to improve progressively once Jason Kidd arrived in 1994 and teamed up with Jamal Mashburn and Jim Jackson to play better basketball. However, in the 1996-97 season, he was moved to the Phoenix Suns in exchange for Michael Finley, who would become a key player for many seasons to come.
Dirk Nowitzki and Steve Nash began entertaining NBA fans worldwide with their fast-paced basketball in 1998. In 2006, Nowitzki led the club to the NBA finals, where they held a two-game lead but were beat by the Miami Heat in five games. It wasn’t until the 2010-11 season that the Mavs had a great squad with Nowitzki, Kidd, and Chandler on it.
They met their old adversary, the Miami Heat, in the finals, but this time they ensured that Texas would win the NBA title. After destroying the core that led them to the title, the Mavericks rebuilt. They have picked Luka Doncic, one of the finest rookies we’ve seen in a decade, who continues to wow everyone with his abilities. Derek Harper, Jason Kidd, Jason Terry, Michael Finley, Dirk Nowitzki, and Luka Doncic are Dallas Mavericks players.

26. San Antonio Spurs
When most somebody think of the San Antonio Spurs, they think of the hard effort and Gregg Popovich, among other things. This is due to Gregg Popovich’s ability to turn numerous players who were regarded to be mediocre into superstars. Spurs were established in 1967, but it took them a long time to develop into the extraordinary team they are today. When they hired Gregg Popovich as head coach in 1996, everything changed for the better. It only grab him a few seasons to earn his first championship with the team.
They won their first NBA championship in 1999, led by David Robinson and a youthful Tim Duncan. However, this was not the only time they would make it to the finals and win it all. They did it four more times after that, in 2003, 2005, 2007, and 2013. It’s worth remembering that they fought and defeated numerous renowned dynasties during these ages, claiming the throne for themselves. It was against the Los Angeles Lakers in the early 2000s, and their most recent championship was against LeBron James and the Miami Heat. Pop and his Spurs have had a fantastic run.

27. Sacramento Kings
The Sacramento Kings are a well-known and respected team in the NBA. They are most known for their battles with the Los Angeles Lakers in the early 2000s, which have already become legendary games. This isn’t the only reason they’re well-known; before deciding on the Sacramento Kings name, they went by seven different characters and relocated around the United States. They have won three dividing titles and one championship as a franchise since 1951. (1979, 2002, 2003).
The Kings were one of the most feared teams in the NBA from 1998 through 2004, and justifiably so. They might have win a few more titles at that time if it hadn’t been for the Los Angeles Lakers. They were led by Rick Adelman and had outstanding players like Chris Webber, Vlade Divac, Dough Christie, Mike Bibby, and Peja Stojakovic. The series versus the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference Finals in 2002 will live on in the hearts of Kings fans forever. The Kings would eventually lose the series, but many people believe it was a highly contentious series in which they could have won their first NBA title if not for the poor refereeing.

28. Toronto Raptors
Toronto Raptors are the league’s only Canadian club. They joined the NBA in 1995 and are now a member of the Eastern Conference. The Raptors’ path has been intriguing since it has been full of ups and downs. They battled a lot when they initially joined the league, and it took them four years to figure out the winning recipe. The Raptors, led by Vince Carter, had several playoff appearances but never caused any serious harm, and therefore remained a club with much promise but never amounted to anything noteworthy.
The Raptors went through another phase of rebuilding when Vince Carter left, and they had to wait another four years to add a star like Chris Bosh to their lineup. However, once Chris Bosh joined the Miami Heat in 2010, the Raptors were floundering again. Things haven’t been the selfsame since they had a great tandem in Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan, who had a lot of success but were never particularly good in the playoffs. As a result, the Raptors’ executive staff opted to trade DeRozan for Spurs’ Kawhi Leonard to boost the team.

29. Utah Jazz
Utah Jazz is most famous for its storied rivalry with Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls in the late 1990s. Their narrative begins in 1974 in New Orleans, where they stayed for five years until moving to Salt Lake City, Utah. The team’s early years were not very successful, as they never developed into a playoff contender. When the Stockton/Malone period began in 1984, most Utah fans had little faith in the rookie point guard and believed he was the wrong choice.
Stockton would have to wait a long time to prove to everyone that he was one of the league’s top point guards. To be more specific, the 1990s were his years, as he helped his club achieve new heights regularly, culminating in the NBA Finals. The 1996-98 seasons were the finest since they were led by the renowned Karl Malone and John Stockton. They swept the competition and appeared unstoppable until they reached the finals, upset by the famed Chicago Bulls dynasty.

30. Washington Wizards
The Washington Wizards are a member of the Eastern Conference and are situated in Washington, D.C. The squad was created in Chicago in 1961. They’ve migrated from Chicago to Baltimore and Washington, D.C. as a franchise. The Wizards have reached the finals four times and won one championship in 1978. The 1977-78 season was a Cinderella story since they were nearly sure to miss out on the playoffs, but they surprised everyone by defeating the Seattle SuperSonics in the finals.
Despite making the playoffs several times since then, they have never been a serious threat to win the full title. Another reason the Wizards are well-known is that when Michael Jordan decided to return to basketball for the second time, he chose to play for the Wizards. However, Jordan’s presence didn’t assist them much, as they failed to qualify for the playoffs when he was on the team. They’ve had some strong players in the past, like Gilbert Arenas and, more recently, John Wall and Bradley Beal, but they’ve yet to become title contenders.
