He is now a young man with a lot of money and fame, and his persona has taken on a life of its own.
The scene was used as a meme for the first time on May 4, 2017, and has been used many times since then.
A Twitter user named OGBEARD posted a screenshot of SpongeBob acting like a chicken with the comment, “How I look back at little kids when they stare too long.”
The tweet below has gotten more than 73,000 retweets in five days and 147,300 likes.

How Did It Spread?

On the one hand, it’s easy to see how a frame of SpongeBob clucking like a chicken could be used instead of more obvious mockery.

Sea STARS And SPONGES Aren’t Friends

The animals live close to each other not because they like to hang out together but because sea stars like to eat sponges.
The starfish is right next to the sponge, so at least some of it is likely about to be eaten.
Or perhaps not. The bright yellow color of the sponge may be due to the chemicals it makes to protect itself.
The scientific name for a sponge is Hertwigia, but the scientific name for a starfish is Chondraster.
Chondraster Grandis is the pink starfish that probably inspired the Patrick character.
Even though sponges are yellow, SpongeBob’s shape has nothing to do with what a natural sponge looks like.
SpongeBob is square and has the same shape as a plastic sponge used for cleaning.
Then, natural sponges from the deep sea? “They have weird, odd shapes; they look like they came from another planet.”
A starfish’s body is not the same as Patrick’s.
