The library contains thousands of films and television series spanning many genres, eras, and countries. Sometimes, you’ll want or need to log out of your Netflix account. It’s one of the best ways to watch new or old movies and TV shows.
You may be taking a short break from the platform. Or someone may be doing something wrong on your network and want to log out just in case. It’s easy and quick to sign out of your Netflix account, no matter what the reason is. You can do it through the Netflix website or the app you’re using. This is a step-by-step guide to help.
Methods for Logging Out Netflix on a smart TV
In general, the Netflix app on most smart TVs will look and work the same on different brands. The steps below will show you how to log out of your Netflix account on any brand of smart TV or streaming gadget that is connected to your TV.
- Step 1: Open the Netflix app.
- Step 2: Go to the left side of the Home Screen to open Netflix’s main screen.
- Step 3: Click on “Help” from the list.
- Step 4: Click “Sign Out,” and when asked to confirm your choice, click “Yes.”
How to log out of Netflix on the website
You can also log out of Netflix by going to the website. This is helpful if you need to remember which smart TVs or streaming devices you’re signed in on at the moment.
- Step 1: Go to Netflix.com and click “Sign In” at the top of the page.
- Step 2: Hover over your picture and select Account from the drop-down menu that appears.
- Step 3: Select Manage Access and Devices from the Security and Privacy menu.
- Step 4: Now, all you have to do is find the smart TV or streaming device you want to leave and click “Sign Out.”
- Step 5: Go to the Security and Privacy panel and select Sign Out of All Devices. This will log you out of Netflix on all of your connected devices.

How to log into Netflix
Getting into your Netflix account is pretty much the same as getting out of it. You’ll be fine if you follow these steps.
- Step 1: Turn on your smart TV or other streaming device and open Netflix.
- Step 2: Click “Log In” to use the Netflix login information you already have.
