Dr Death, a new real-life drama based on the renowned podcast of the same name, stars Joshua Jackson (Pacey Witter from Dawson’s Creek) as Dr. Christopher Duntsch, a neurosurgeon who was convicted of maiming a patient and sentenced to life in prison in 2017.
The film Dr. Death is based on the “horrifying true storey of Dr. Christopher Duntsch, a rising star in the Dallas medical world.” Dr. Duntsch was young, personable, and allegedly smart as he built a thriving neurosurgery practice when everything abruptly changed,” according to the official Peacock summary.
In the Peacock drama series, Alec Baldwin and Christian Slater co-star as two colleagues and fellow surgeons who banded together to put an end to Duntsch’s medical career.

The series is based on Wondery’s popular podcast and is based on the infamous true storey of Dallas neurosurgeon Dr. Christopher Duntsch.

The cast of Dr. Death
Christopher Duntsch is played by Joshua Jackson (well known for his adolescent idol role as Pacey Witter in Dawson’s Creek). Jamie Dornan, who starred in The Fall, was originally cast in the role.
Alec Baldwin (The Departed) plays neurosurgeon Robert Henderson, and Christian Slater plays vascular surgeon Randall Kirby (Heathers).
Meanwhile, AnnaSophia Robb, a former child star, plays Dallas prosecutor Michelle Shughart.
